Why do they make squeals like 50 years after the originals? It's not like they'll live up to the originals. Even the squeals released close to the originals are rarely successful (I know this doesn't count for all squeals, but please just let me rant!).
I loved The Year Without a Santa Claus mainly for the Heat Miser and Snow Miser songs, they were amazing. My favourite part is how it goes from the fast paced Snow Miser song to the slower Heat Miser song. The transition is amazing. It's like, even though both songs go to the same tune you could still tell them apart by the tempo.
But this new movie ruined it. Whenever Heat Miser sings it just seems too fast. It makes it not as catchy as the first one and what's with meshing them like that? Especially if you choose that fast of a tempo. I'm a music student, can you tell?
Here we have the scene from the Live Action Year Without a Santa Claus.
Simply: I'm in love with this clip. I've watched it countless times since I first found it. I even went online and search frantically for it on different store's sites. The only place I can get it at is the HMV in Toronto. I'll have to go after the holidays. It sucks because it's $25 there, but $5 American on the Walmart site if I order it online, but only on the American site.
I believe this is a good mesh of the two songs. I've hear a lot of people not liking this version of the song, but I love it. I love how it has the rock beat and the way the lyrics are a bit more incorporated into the actions. Also, even though Heat Misers voice is hella annoying it really helps make up for the missing contrast of the songs. Like, how I said the tempos help distinguish it, the voice did the same thing. Heat Misers voice is this harsh, raspy thing, while Snow Misers is this light, soothing kid of sound. I think the voices really match the characters themselves, well at least what each character stands for.
I really needed to rant. I really did. After watching the first clip posted in this entry I wanted to write a long winded comment on the video, but I didn't really want to post such a huge comment. Then I remembered that I had a blog =D
That's really all the comments I have on this movie at the moment. I love this movie and if you haven't seen it then for shame.

Tumblr Post <3
I love how I wrote this post and I'm more likely to find it later on this site than on tumblr. =)
You know when you’re tellinga story and there is one word that you want to use but just can’t think of it. It feels like you’re so close to yelling it out and yet you continue to draw a blank.
That’s how I feel right now.
My mind will drift and my stomach will start to hurt. I know that subconciously I was thinking of another story plot, one I thought I could pull of well. One that would make me sit squeeming in my desk at school, yerning for the bell to ring so I could run home and write it. But once I was snapped back into reality the plot was lost in my mind like with all the other unused characters and story plots. The only difference being these plots were the ones that really had no potential or at least plots that I wouldn’t be able to pull off. Some how in the shuffle of my mind pulling itself back together and focusing on its surrounds, the glorous story plot was swept to the unknown place with all the rejects, waiting to be rescued before it has lost all of its luster and becomes no better than the other plots it currently shares space with.
I know that one day I shall remember this amazing plot and finally be able to put the adventures of the mysterious main character in print.

I'm really bored.
I'm not really a blogger.
But I do post when I have nothing of real importance to do.
Hence why you read this post.
I reached the 50k for NaNo.
Might get a free proof copy of my novel if everything works out.
Still gonna edit it though.
I'm changing my desk top, it's of Tony Stark now <3
Kay, that's all I can think to share.
Thanks for putting up with my space-y post.
